How do you increase the response to your popups? -------------------------------------- a. Use your visitor's name in the headline of your popup b. Use attention-grabbing photos There are tons of outstanding attention- grabbing photos you can use. I'll tell you a little secret of photos that most people don't know: Use a picture of a person who is looking straight at you making eye contact. I know it sounds ridiculous. But eye contact on a photo will definitely increase attention and response. c. Include a countdown timer Most of the new popup options allow you to add a countdown timer to your popup. This can light a fire under someone to use your coupon now, or grab your bonus before it's too late. d. If you use a coupon, create a link that automatically applies the coupon if you can. Experience has shown that asking people to type in coupon codes creates customer support tickets. It's a lot easier to use a link that just automatically applies the discount. e. Use coupons I just mentioned them. But people do love coupons. f. Use swipe files of successdful popups On another day, I'll mention where you can snag links to swipe files of fabulous popups. I always find it easier working from inspiration than trying to create from a vacuum. -------------------------------------- 3. Top 10 Popup Mistakes To Avoid -------------------------------------- #1 Expecting the moon. The response rate on popups is usually 4% to 10%. But over time, those numbers add because the boosts happens day in and day out. #2 Not getting your popups on the pages of your affiliates, ambassadors, and supporters. Hardly anyone is doing this because until Exit Bux, it wasn't possible. But now it is. And whatever traffic you get only cost you a commissions, so it's win-win. #3 Not using popups to get orders from people who leave your checkout page without ordering. Marketers call this "cart abandonment." And it's so easy to offer an extra bonus or discount for responding today. If you get an extra 7% or 10% sales, that can be a lot over weeks and months. #4 Being boring Attention-getting graphics, a great offer or a little creativity help break through the noise. Don't bore people to tears. A lot of the popup software programs have great, attention-getting popups built right in ready for you to use. #5 Not doing A / B testing This means you test the response to one popup (version A) vs. a second popup (version B). This is a proven way to increase the response to your popups. And it's easy to do with the modern popup software. #6 Not personalizing popups The new world of popups lets you do all kinds of cool things like use people names, show popups based on what they've bought, and other popups they've clicked on. You can even show popups based on how they found your site. There are so many exciting possibilites. #7 Thinking you have to spend a fortune The premium popup programs do cost money. Some more than others. But there are plenty of super cheap options, including ones that have no recurring fees. And there are even options that won't likely cost you anything. Whatever your situation, there's a popup option for you. #8 Doing nothing It's easy to let things slide by. But popups open new doors of opportunity and certainly deserve a little of your time and attention. #9 Not learning more If I can put in a little plug here, I'm proud of the report I wrote called Exit Bux. It shares tons of things I've learned about all of the above and more. It's your next step to learn even more. If you're ready to discover the whole new world of popups, then hop on over here right now: https://warriorplus.com/o2/a/ztn0x/0 #10 Using drab colors that don't stand out As a general rule, bright colors get attention.
